Homestay Rules & Guidelines
To ensure a pleasant, safe, and comfortable stay for all our guests and to maintain the quality of our homestay, we kindly request your adherence to the following rules:
- Check-in/Check-out: Standard check-in time is 2:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and subject to availability and potential extra charges. Please confirm with the caretaker.
- Smoking: Avian Oasis Homestay is a strictly non-smoking property indoors. This includes all rooms, halls, kitchen, and bathrooms. Designated outdoor smoking areas may be available; please inquire with the caretaker. A cleaning fee will be charged for violations.
- Cleanliness: Guests are expected to maintain cleanliness in their rooms and common areas. Please use the provided waste bins. All rooms and linens are provided in a clean, stain-free condition; please help us keep them this way.
- Property & Furnishings: All appliances (TVs, ACs, fridge, lights, etc.), furniture, and linens must be handled with care. Any damage, breakage, or irremovable stains caused by guests will result in fines equivalent to the repair or full replacement cost. Please report any pre-existing damage to the caretaker immediately upon check-in.
- Kitchen Usage:
- The common kitchen is available for guest use. The cost for kitchen usage (covering gas stove, one gas cylinder, standard utensils) is included if paid at booking or can be availed at the homestay for a set fee.
- Guests are responsible for cleaning all used utensils, the gas stove, and other kitchen appliances after each use. Cleaning supplies (scrubbers, liquid detergent) are provided.
- An optional cleaning service for the kitchen can be availed for an additional fee. Please arrange this with the caretaker.
- Additional gas cylinders or specific stoves can be provided upon request at an extra cost.
- Inform the caretaker if additional or specific utensils are needed beforehand.
- Damage to kitchen items will incur fines, potentially covering the cost of a new appliance.
- Swimming Pool (If Applicable): For safety, the use of glass bottles, glassware, or any breakable items is strictly prohibited in and around the pool area. Please use plastic or non-breakable containers. Pool usage may be shared or time-slotted based on guest requests and occupancy; please coordinate with the caretaker.
- Guests & Visitors:
- The number of guests staying must be accurately disclosed at the time of booking. Additional charges will apply for each extra guest not declared at the time of booking.
- Day visitors must be reported to the caretaker. Overnight stays for non-registered individuals are not permitted without prior approval and will incur charges.
- Conduct: Guests are expected to behave respectfully towards other guests, the caretaker, and the property. Maintain reasonable noise levels, especially during nighttime hours (e.g., after 10:00 PM), to ensure a peaceful environment for all. Misbehavior, harassment, or disturbances may lead to immediate eviction without refund.
- Safety & Security: Please ensure your room is locked when you are out or asleep. The homestay is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings. Use common areas responsibly.
- Illegal Activities: Any illegal activities are strictly prohibited on the premises.
- Pets: Please inquire about our pet policy before booking if you plan to bring a pet, as restrictions may apply.
- Lost Keys: A fee will be charged for lost room keys to cover replacement costs.
- Energy Conservation: Please switch off lights, ACs, TVs, and other electrical appliances when not in use or when leaving the room.
- Caretaker: Our caretaker resides on the property and is available to assist you with any needs or queries during reasonable hours. For emergencies, they can be reached anytime.
